Consistently inconsistent ðŸĨī

After reviewing my blog, I noticed that I had uploaded one each month since inception. I really wanted to continue that trend; to at least make one post per month. As you can see, I missed a month. That plan clearly didn’t work out the way I wanted it to! But that’s how life works right?

I was very busy and distracted last month because it was a VERY important month for me. I finally moved into a new apartment! I know it may not seem like a big deal, but trust me.. It was! ðŸĨš

BACK STORY

Before coming to Japan last year, the company I work for had made all my living arrangements. They chose the place, and of course I paid for it. I didn’t have much say in the decision. At the time, that was fine because I was new anyway.. What do I know? ðŸĪ·ðŸ―‍♀️ Upon my arrival to said apartment, I wasn’t very impressed. It was an extremely small loft-type leopalace apartment that overlooked a graveyard.. Cozy right ? I got used to it eventually and I definitely made the best of it, but it wasn’t ideal for me in the long run.

FAST FORWARD

I applied for a transfer from the prefecture (state) I was working in, to be closer to the cityyy.. closer to Tokyo! It got approved and that was great, but where am I going to live now???? The company isn’t going to be of much help this time and I am NOT going to live in one of those lil boxes again! 😂 so I had to be humble for 3 longggg months while I acquired enough savings to move into the apartment that I really wanted! AND I DID IT! I must say the process was a breeze; way easier than I had expected. The realtor/company that assisted me were close to perfect! They were nice, patient, understanding, and best of all they offered full English assistance with everything. Once again God was on the job. I found the perfect apartment. The size (2 rooms and a living room), the facilities (vanity area), the location (close proximity to work), everything. Perfect.

Now to furnish said apartment.. whew! God, is that you again??? Sure is! I literally got the most important things needed, either free of cost or at a reduced price. If you’re in Japan or thinking about coming, please do not neglect Facebook. Facebook is your friend. Grateful does not begin to describe how I’ve felt for the past few weeks. Every single thing has worked out according to plan!

Sooooo, that burden has finally been lifted. Hopefully this means I can get back into the groove of being more consistent with my blogs. I’ll be in the ideal space (my nice nice new apartment), so that should be a plus.
